The false visual sensation is a kind of visual sensing feature which arises from the distorted outside things under specified conditions. This visual distortion of the outside things is characterized by a fixed tendency which can not be overcome by the subjective efforts. As long as the conditions are satisfied, the visual distortion must be produced. So, the false visual sensation must be adjusted and used properly. However, the false visual image of art is not only a visual sensing feature, but also an indispensable tool for analyzing image used by the artist and designer. Nowadays, in the art and design fields, the false visual sensation is not modified simply, but is widely used for the art creation. The modification and usage of the false visual sensation for the application to the graph design is covered in this paper. The specific variation effects produced by the interacting relationships between the pattern elements and the form elements are mainly analyzed. The false visual graph is formed by the constructing principle of the form and form, the form and the color, the form and the style as well as the form and the space. We can use the"form"and the"color"to compensate the defects and to distill the sense of beauty of the graph . The false visual sensation can also be used to create the new graph language and the new three-dimensional space. Using the false visual sensation, we can depict the conventional and un-conventional things by combining the real and the fancy, the real and the illusion as well as the subject and the object. The designer can use the false visual sensation to change the image ideas (visual motion, the space variation from the two-dimension to the three-dimension) consciously or to change the construction boldly so as to design the graph with strong visual shock, and from this, we can have a good understanding of the creative idea during the art creation. The idea of the false visual sensation proposed in this paper also has some inspirations to the relative designs. The logic composition of this paper is followed by this: Centering on the theory of cognition, the essential aspect of the"false visual graph"is pursued. Then the relationship between the form and the color which dominates the"false visual graph"is analyzed. Finally, the practical significance and interest of"the modification and usage of the false visual sensation for graph designing"is delineated. |
