A Study Of Visual Spatial Hierarchy In Oil Painting Creation

Space in traditional painting is often divided into three levels: foreground,middle scene and distant view.It presents the real three-dimensional space of the objective world according to the scientific perspective principle.However,the expression of spatial level in painting often depends on the artist’s understanding of space,so as to present the sense of plane or break the order of the objective space.Or combine the creator’s spirit,thought,emotion and so on to form image space works.The expression of these two kinds of space occupies a very important position in the process of art development,such as Matisse,Picasso,Baltis,Miro and other artists have made creative contributions to the expression of plane or multidimensional space.In this paper,literature research,picture analysis,comparative analysis as the main research methods to carry out research.Through the analysis of the spatial representation,picture composition,modeling skills,color skills and other painting language forms in the works of Baltis and Yan Ping,this paper discusses how to create the art method of flat space level.Then,from the two aspects of modeling and color,the in-depth discussion of planarization and multi-dimensional visual space level is carried out,and the conclusion is applied to the creation practice.In the analysis of their works,the following conclusions are drawn: image space will be modeled through generalization,change of perspective and other ways.In the expression of color,it can be realized through the emotional expression of color,symbolic color and rational color design.Finally,it is proved that the use of a variety of visual spatial level changes in oil painting creation can better express the inner world of artists.
