The study on prostitute poetess in Ming Dynasty is a relatively scarce but worthwhile subject in academic circle.Based on overall analyses of the life and creation of prostitute poetess in Ming Dynasty, this thesis emphatically expounds the content tendency and artistic features in their Ci creation. By choosing some of representative poetesses as main study object, it is hoped that the research scope of Ci and literature in Ming Dynasty, even Chinese female literature can be expanded.The whole thesis consists of four parts to hackle and expound the subject.The exordium briefly introduces the creation condition of prostitute poetess since Tang and Song Dynasty, the significance of the subject selection—the study on prostitute poetess in Ming Dynasty and its study history and present situation, as well as the basic thought and main viewpoints in this thesis.The first part generally introduces the basic condition, main features of prostitute poetess in Ming Dynasty and explores the reason for the flourish of their Ci creation. The previous study on prostitute poetess in Ming Dynasty mainly focused on Liu Ru shi, and seldom involved other prostitute poetesses. Based on Quan Ming Ci, the writer analyzes and expounds more than 70 prostitute poetess in Ming Dynasty.The second part explores and analyzes the content of prostitute poetesses' Ci works in Ming Dynasty, reviews on the outstanding theme "love and fate" in them and summarizes the creation content of the group of poetess.The third part sums up the artistic features in Ci works of prostitute poetess in Ming Dynasty. The discussion on prostitute poetess' artistic features in this thesis is mainly centered on general style of sincerity, frankness, and graciousness.The fourth part goes to case study, choosing Liu Rushi, Wang Wei, Yang Wan, Li Yin to emphatically study on. Every one of them created more than 20 Ci works , which have significant representativeness.
