Weicheng And Xun Zi

Qian Zhong Shu and Xun Zi are scholars from different eras. Both have similar fate of living within times of war. Both experienced the sufferings of inhumanity as well as extreme economical battles. Therefore, they both share the same responsibility and hope towards human nature. The first part of this thesis is an association of both Qian Zhong Shu and Xun Zi's work from different era. During the time when the society has a perspective trend of rivalry among each other, both scholars have the same point of view towards negative human nature. During that generation, there was a great impact on the society and they were also being criticized by the society for their point of view.Both scholars' research starts with the idea of human greed. They reveal the negative side of human nature and the impact of it. A group of intellective people were incapable of handling the adversity of human nature resulting the lost of reality confrontation from all human, and they never awake from that, but both Qian Zhong Shu and Xun Zi exposed the negative side of human nature. Qian Zhong Shu carved out the morbidity of human being through the combination of the western and eastern culture, hoping all human will reflect on the consequences of their action that follows their desire. Wei Cheng and Xun Zi's teaching mention that the importance of education because only through education, human will change from bad to good. Xun Zi believe that managing through the rule of law and good moral education give the same result; thereafter tolerance will only exist, when everyone incorporate the same ethics, a country and its nation will be in good manner.Subsequently, the animadvert towards a group of intellective people, Xun Zi believe that some "evil speech" will ruin human's moral and ethics, it will also cause an impact towards politician decision making, resulting the desertion of traditional morality. Xun Zi criticize "evil speech", Wei Cheng "San Lu" University professors incorporate "evil speeches" to stories resulting in those who listen to it will act in their pleasure and others were living their life in restriction and being expelled. The last part of this thesis will be on Wei Cheng and Xun Zi's elicitation of future generation, most importantly both scholars has immense knowledge from traveling and education, therefore both of them observe over human attitude through their intelligent comparison and incisive discussion with a sense of humor. Even though they were different from others, they have the courage to show their view point to the society. Wei Cheng creates awareness among society that by choosing to be close with people of good moral and in a good learning environment, it will improve one's character.
