The Research Into Yokomitsu Riichi's Literature

Yokomitsu is the most representative writer of Japanese Neo-Sensation, and is honored as the soul of Neo-Sensation, holding a very important position in Japanese literature. In his literary career of more than 20 years, he keeps exploring literary thoughts and ideas: from Neo-Sensation, Neo-psychologism to Pure novel theory. He played an important role in the transferring form Dazheng literature to Zhaohe literature.Yokomitsu drew on and assimilated the characteristics of West European modern artist to exploit new means of expression, such as ingenious structure, personification, movie techniques and Stream of consciousness. His unique skills, once introduced into China in 1930s, brought about to Neo-Sensation hot in the literary world of Shanghai. In this paper, by means of textual analysis, the writer researches the development and characteristic of Yokomitsu's literary ideas in different periods of his career, concludes the translation of Yokomitsu's works in modern China, and takes《Shanghai》as an example to analyze the image of China in his works.
