The Research Of The Affix Of Linfen Dialect

Linfen is the transitional region between jin language area and mandarin area in the south of Yellow River, showing obvious transition characteristics in pronunciation, the glossary, and grammar, etc. The major objective of this paper is to limn some special affixes including "圪", "日", "忽", "子", and"儿" that are widespread in jin language and mandarin areas and to investigate the process of their development and interaction between jin language and mandarin in Linfen language. The method of this study is based on the specific investigation of Linfen language, which collects related materials widely in the level of research on actual situation by means of combinations of description and explanation, theory and reality, and analogy and analysis.Research on word-built of Linfen dialect will provide new materials regarding vocabulary and grammar for research on Shan xi dialect, especially for study on intrinsic relationship between Jin language and mandarin in south of the Yellow River. In addition, this can offer theoretical foundation for region division on the basis of dialect in this area.
