| Working memory as a kind of cognitive process plays a crucial role,and especially in the study of students,the quality of working memory capacity is directly related to the understanding and mastering of knowledge and related to the level of academic performance.It is very important for education that how to utilize the related rule nimbly reasonably and to raise the memory efficiency and to promote academic performance in process of education,because the emotion has a remarkable and complex influence on the work memory.The research adopted 2×2 hybrid experimental designs and invited the senior students as subjects.Through the interviews,it was learned that senior school students often experienced negative emotions such as,sadness and fears.At the first,we selected some video which could start sadness and fears.And then,optimism and pessimism subjects were picked out by optimism-pessimism scale.Working memory span was measured after inducing emotions of sadness or fear by showing the students the video, which could start sadness or fear.The research reached0 the following results:(1)Students' working memory span in the condition of the sadness emotion was significantly higher than that in the condition of the fear.(2)The emotion of fear and sadness influenced working memory span significan tly,and cognitive appraisal orientation influenced working memory span significantly.(3)In the condition of the sadness emotion,optimisms' working memory span was significantly higher than pessimism' working memory span;in the condition of the fear emotion,working memory span had no significant differences.(4)Cognitive appraisal orientation did not influence working memory span significantly both the male and the female.(5)In the condition of the sadness emotion,the working memory span between the male and female had no significant differences.In the condition of the fear emotion, the working memory span of male was significant higher than the females' working memory.
