Alexithymia is a personality trait.Its performance is the difficulty for the identification and description of their inner emotional,rigid imagery process and externally oriented thinking.Childhood abuse refers to that the person who has the right of control and the obligation to support,supervise causes a child actual or potential harm on their health,survival,growth and the dignity.435 middle school students participated in this research,including 7th,8th,9th,10th,11th grade students.Toronto Alexithymia Scale,Childhood Trauma Questionnaire and Adolescent's Attachment Questionnaire were used in this research.This research explored the development and distribution of alexithymia,as well as the relationship between childhood abuse and alexithymia.Main conclusions of this research are as following:(1) Alexithymia score or certain dimensions are different significantly in some demographic variable,such as gender,grade,mother education and family income.(2) Emotional neglect and emotional abuse make the positive contribution to alexithymia score and the score of Difficulty identifying feelings;emotional neglect make the positive contribution to the score of Difficulty describing feelings to other people and Externally oriented thinking.(3)Adolescent's attachment partially mediated the relationship between childhood abuse and alexithymia.
