With the development of globalization, international project contract has become one of the most important modes of international cooperation. Therefore, more and more industrial lines such as telecom industry, electricity industry and construction industry aim to develop in international market. However, since the environment of host country is so much different from home country, there will be a great many potential risks existing in the project, so the study on project risk control and management has become a hot topic. When the risks and risks management are discussed, it is more important to discuss the influences of technical risks than other non-technical risks. However, from my point of view, cultural factors, although is not an obvious factor in international contraction project, it plays a significant role. This thesis originally analyze the cultural factors from the level of procedures of international contraction projects, which addresses the cultural factors in bidding, negotiation, design and construction phases to give a rough view of cultural factors. At the meantime, incorporated with the"four cultural dimensions"theory in intercultural communication, the deep cultural factors can be revealed in the following chapters, which are power distance, uncertainty avoidance, individualism and collectivism, masculinity and femininity, long term and short term orientations.Since culture is changeable, and meanwhile international contraction project is non-permanent, so the above mentioned cultural factors can be controlled by some effective methods of management. And at the end of this thesis, the cultural risks management system has been concluded, which can be a guideline for international contraction project management.
