| With the large-scale importation of Western learning, Confucianism was faced with new challenges and had an unprecedented crisis in Late Qing Dynasty. But at the same time it also had been opportunities to be re-examined and transited, the Dong Zi study, as an important stage in the development of traditional Confucianism, it also had been taken seriously, Dong study became a new field of research between the general trend for Chinese and Western cultures.This article assess the study of Dong Zi Evolution in the historical background from the Chinese and western communication and cultural changing, and from an aca- demic point of view in the history of different schools of thought on the study of Dong comment. It has seen the whole based on different periods of the case study by the individual. There also has a task to Dong how to transit in modern times. This is conducive to perceive the destiny of Confucianism in modern times being stroked by Western culture.This paper discusses the following aspects: the first chapter is the history of Do- ng Zi and Dong Zi in the history, it trace the development of the course of Dong Zi.
