The Applied Study Of Theory Of Narratology In Three Classical Oscar Films

Film as a special type of multimedia narrative form has developed very fast during the 20^th century after its invention.The thesis adopted the narrative theories of Genette, Bakhtin and Phelan to analyze three classical Oscar films in order to find out the unique features of these films.This thesis first introduced the relationship between literature and film then illustrated the beginning and development of narratology.The thesis made a full overview on the narrative theories of Genette,Bakhtin and Phelan.The main body of the thesis is that the author tried to use these theories to make a full analysis of three classical Oscar films they are Citizen Kane,The Lord of the Rings:The Fellowship of the Ring,and No Country for the Old Men.Finally the thesis illustrated the conclusion.
