The Study On Adverbs Created In Modern Chinese Language In Legend Of Heroes And Heroines

Legend of Heroes and Heroines (Qing . Wen Kang)is a chivalrous novel written in Qing Dynasty Daoguang and Xianfeng period . It is a very important works with a strong oral character during the transition period of Chinese language from modern to contemporary, so it can reflect the features of language at that times. However, scholars usually study the works from the perspectives of history, literature and ethnology, and very few from that of linguistics. It is not until recent years that it get the attention from the linguistics community.The study to the adverbs in this works is an indispensable work in the construction of Chinese History. In this paper, the adverbs that appeared in the Modern Chinese period in Legend of Heroes and Heroines will be picked out and studied with accurate statistical analysis in a new pattern, in order to find some regularity things, get the transition situation of adverbs from modern Chinese to Contemporary Chinese , then do some basic work for the research of Modern Chinese grammar, and the construction of Chinese History .The content is consist of two parts:First, the Static description of the adverbs that appeared in the Modern Chinese period in Legend of Heroes and Heroines, the cases of them, and the analysis of the basic usage and frequency of use of each adverb.Second, the dynamic Analysis of the the adverbs that appeared in the Modern Chinese period in"Legend of Heroes and Heroines", and the illustration of the the different development trend of each of them from the perspective of history. On the base of the description and analysis above, Sum up the general laws, and demonstrate the important position of Legend of Heroes and Heroines in Chinese History, thus provide some reference materials for the study of Chinese History.
