Literary Psychology is the cross-disciplinary of Social Science and Natural Science of. Now, it is developing into full swing. Up to now, there are a few works and translations on Literary Psychology. By systematic analysis and summary of theories on Literary Psychology, coupled with the research of modern and contemporary theories on Literary Psychology, the present thesis probes into the main course of the development of modern and contemporary theories on Literary Psychology, which promotes the further research on Literary Psychology by Chinese learners.The present thesis can be divided into four parts. The introduction summaries the overall research of the Literary Psychology. The first chapter expounds the introduction of Western psychology and its cross-integration with Chinese literature and art theory. The second Chapter summarizes systematically the theoretical knowledge of Literary Psychology and Psychological analysis. The third chapter analyses and epitomizes the knowledge of Literary Psychology in six aspects. The last part is the Conclusion.The present author can draw such a conclusion that the Chinese psychological thoughts are imported from the West. With the start of Matteo Ricci's West State notation, Yan Jing translated spiritual science translated by Yan Yongjing is the first translation book of Psychology, and the transmission of Western psychology in China is on the basis of Japanese scholars'researches. There are totally eight aspects on the Modern and Contemporary Literary Psychology. In modern times, Wang Guowei became the pioneer of the knowledge of Literary Psychology and he proposed the famous"mood theory", and consequently, between the beginning of 20th century and 1940s, there appeared some theories on"mood theory"; in contemporary times, from the beginning of the 20th century to 1920s, theories of literary psychology came to scene about aesthetics and education, literature and art and the social psychology as well as Literary Psychology and education. Meanwhile, Chinese periodicals on psychological analysis and the study of literary were translations, which came into being in 1920s and 1930s. In 1936, the publication of Zhu Guangqian's Literary Psychology marks the formation of modern knowledge of Literary Psychology. The knowledge of Literary Psychology emerging in 1930s and 1940s was relating to three aspects, including appreciative psychology on the literature and art, the psychological structure of literalists and their creative psychology.
