Inauthentic Self-presentation

The thesis focuses the constant situation of self-doubt and self-denial in the experience of artistic research from the view of self-reflection.In this paper, the development of the author's art creation in the last few years is objectively analyzed and explained as following: from my own works in the earlier stage was questioned to trial and error, denial and questioned in a further extent. The thesis probes into questioning the authenticity of the ideas in different stages seriatim combining with related works during art creation in time series, including the connections among the doubtful chance, the embarrassment caused by intervention in reality, and the hypocritical personal issues.Though profoundly rethinking of the unconscious actions in early stage, the precise notion of the importance and difficulty in intervention into reality was made much clearer to me, however, after confronting embarrassment and bottleneck in reality, the author's focus turned to deeper comprehension of personal situation in daily life. Every stage is started from denial and trial, and changes and possibilities are brought to a new level simultaneously.Referring to the issue of authentic representation of myself, whether the works are affirmed or not is not important any longer, what's more important is that to keep correcting inauthentic understanding of reality in artistic practice, in order to create art by intervening and interpreting reality.
