| This thesis falls into three parts:the first part is mainly on the relations among the family members in Nahan and Panghuang;the second part investigates the impact of Lu Xun's family relations impinging on the two novels;the last one explores the family relation proposed by Lu Xun.The relations in the thesis can be classified into two categories,one is consanguinity while the other is ally by marriage.Consanguinity refers to the kinship among the family members,including filiation,mother and child,brother and sister,grandfather and grandchild,relatives.The relation based on marriage includes couples,mother and daughter in law.While consanguinity can be subdivided into different types in this thesis,among which the kinship can be categorized into the ones sharing the dominate status to maintain the relation,the ones oppressed together,the innovative ones demonstrating love to each other,the ones resisting the feudal ethics,as well as the incompatible and indifferent ones.The spouse relations consist of the accessorial ones,defiant ones, the cooperative ones and the cracked ones.Furthermore,the relation between the mother and daughter in law involves the ones with and without the male authority.It is proposed in the thesis that Lu Xun's complicated family background lays a solid foundation for his comprehensive,profound,and original interpretation of the family relation.The recession of the family,his father's disease,the early death of his brothers and sisters,the indifferent attitudes the relatives holds,the marriage without true love as well as the firm pursuit of love have provided him with the plentiful resource to explore on the one hand,and enlightened him to realize the hypocritical and indifferent nature of the feudal family relation.What's more,this guided him to figure out the trend that the feudal family relations would collapse.Meanwhile,Lu Xun made efforts to pursue the ideal family relation and advocated for the accomplishment of the felicity people should enjoy.Besides,he also clearly proposed the innovative relations and tried to fulfill it. |
