Chinese traditional handicrafts are not only the crystallization of the wisdom of Chinese during thousands of years but also a valuable intangible cultural heritage.However,nowadays,the traditional handicrafts are gradually marginalized,which leads to the succession of handicraft family business confronts a challenge.The family tradition which has been this way for many generations,that only passing on to the male of family and never passing on to nonfamily member,is influenced by the socio-economic and traditional thoughts,as well as the cultural value.It not only results in the contradiction of intergeneration relation of fathers and sons in handicrafts family but also is a disadvantage for the traditional successive way in the contemporary.The research paper focus on studying the succession problem that "son is unwilling to inherit the family handicrafts business from father" and discusses the significance of the handicrafts family business from the perspectives of its family rules and the cultural value.Based on the discussion,it concludes the root cause of the decline of handicraft culture from the perspective of intangible culture and comes up with some new ideals,as well as reconsidering how to rebuild the contemporary relationship of father and son in handicraft business family.
