A Syntactic, Semantic And Pragmatic Research On "没X没Y"

The "没X没Y"form is a common verbal phrase in Mandarin,which can produce vivid and lively expression results.Based on the previous study of others,this thesis uses the combined approches as following:structural and semantic,static and dynamic,synchronic and diachronic, quantitative and qualitative,descriptive and interpretive,to make a multi-dimension description and discussion.In the investigation,the author of this thesis strive to observe,describe and interpret adequately.The main parts of this thesis includ the following four chapters:The first part:To investigate and analyze the internal components of "没X没Y" structure. Analyze the characteristics of the nouns,verbs and adjectives which can access to the structure with quantitative and qualitative analysis.The second part:To investigate the different syntactic function of "没X没Y" form according to the sample survey method."没X没Y" form usually can be used as a predicate, attributive,adverbial,or complement in a sentence,sometimes it can also be used as a subject, object,or hint.The authorhas investigated and summarized the semantic types of "没X没Y" form.The third part:To investigate the information pragmatic functions from the aspect of information pragmatics,and to analyze the different pragmatic types when "没X没Y" used as a emphasis part in a sentence.The forth part:To investigate the situations and characteristics of "没X没Y" form in different periods,and to summarize the patterns of the development of "没X没Y" form in history.Then the author predicted the future development of "没X没Y" form.
