A Study On Semantic Development And Object Of "Chi" In Chinese

"Chi" is a verb which has high frequency in modern Chinese language, and it is very active in everyday language and written language.This paper will describe and analyze “chi”semantics, draw Chinese "chi" semantic map, and it has a clear scientific understanding of them with objects to tap Chinese language facts, discover the characteristics and laws of Chinese language from "chi" as a starting point, from the "Pu,Fang,Gu," three planes that departed by searching a large number of corpus,which provide some enlightenment and references for the future of the Chinese grammar.The first chapter is the introduction on semantic expansion mode and genesis research of “chi”, this paper object of study, significance of the topic, research methods,corpus sources, innovation, and so on.First chapter is the article from the "Pu,Fang,Gu" triangle, combining synchronic description and diachronic study,explores the semantic evolution of "Chi" path.The second chapter discusses "diet" righteousness "Chi" source and diachronic evolution.Investigation found that the earliest expression of word "diet" is "Shi”word,"Chi" has become the basic "diet" righteousness verb after a long and "Shi""Chi", the period of the competition or Shared.And in the Ming and Qing dynasties,the latest completed to "eat" alternative "Shi".The third chapter is about a specific study on the "chi" semantic development and evolution.Through investigation we found that "eating" is the basic meaning of "Chi",through the metonymy and metaphor,respectively developed "rely on" "somewhere to eat", "enter", "get", "bear", "suffer", "absorb", "eliminate", "cost",and so on.These meanings of metonymy lead more semantics, such as "fixed" "appropriation" "control" "bully" "passive" "accept" "understand",and so on.The fourth chapter is the inspection to the development of the collocation of the object and objective condition about “chi”.From the perspective of semantic and syntactic,we descriped the collocation of the object's extension process of "Chi".It starting from the main meanings of "eating", "chi" object types can be divided into eight categories: patient object, location, source, tools, methods, reasons, and other objects.The last chapter conclusion part summarize the content of the thesis discussion...
