Internet is very popular among youth as a new media. It occupies more and more important position at the daily lives of young people and its influence on young people is also increasing. With the increae in the number of young Internet users,Internt addiction has become a research hot-spot issue. The period between 13 and 18 years old is a critical period of socialization,is a critical stage of natural to socialization. By using of excessive network,they will have a negtive impact on the physical and psychological of youth,and affect the youth social adaptation. Many previous studies selected adults and college students as the research object,this study explore the relationships of adolescents social adaptability,internet use preference and internet addiction in the way of inventory.This study selected 344 middle school students as the research object,and use the Internet Addiction Test (IAT), Adolescents' Internet Use Preference Qestionnaire and Social Adaptation Questionnaire.By way of statistic analysis, the main findings are as follows:1. There are differences of gender on internert use preference,internet addiction and social adaptation.2. There are significant differences among those who are at different levels internet addiction in four aspects of social adaptation.3.Recreational preference and information communication preference have significant positive predictive effect on internet addiction;information acquisition preference has negative predictive effect on internet addiction.4.Adolescents' social adaptability has significant negative effect on internet addiction. To internet addiction, it also has significant negative predictive effect.5.The interactive effects of recreational preference and mental resilience on internet addiction has significant negative predictive effect. The interactive effects of information communication preference and interpersonal adaptation has significant negative predictive effect.
