The Relationship Of Adolescent Personality Traits, The Internet Using Performance And Internet Addiction

This thesis based on the research before, use the method of questionnaire survey, discussthe Adolescences Personality Traits and the relationship between the internet using preferenceand the internet addiction. The research instruments are Adolescent pathological Internet usescale, Youth network use preference questionnaire and16personality factors cartels test. Theresearch uses the method of collective test, sent500questionnaires and recovered effective467questionnaires. After Statistical Analyses, I got the following research result.(1) It is taken on the main effect between the factors of teenagers’ personality traits, thesex, the grade, and single child or not. It is interacted between the following factors:teenagers’ sex and the grade; sex and the single child or not, grade and single or not; grade,sex and single or not.(2) The preference of the using internet by teenagers, choosing entertainment is thebiggest proportion. The second proportion is the information acquisition, and the next is theinformation exchanging.(3) The preference of using internet is different based on the sex and class typically andnot typically on single child or not. It is obviously interacted between the following factors:teenagers whether single child or mot and the grade; teenagers’ sex, single or not and thegrade; and the different dimensions about the preference of using the internet.(4) The proportion of internet addiction on teenagers is low, and among the normal level.The expressions of internet addictions of teenagers are typically on the grade and interactionfrom the sex and the grade.(5) Internet addiction is related to the personality traits of teenagers and the internetpreference. It could be forecast the internet addiction from the personality traits and theinternet preference. It acts as the medium between the personality traits and the internetaddiction.
