This paper concerns some literary features of detective novels with native and national characteristics which merged into detective novels in Chinese detective writer's imitating and reforming, in the process of the introduction and translation of detective novels developing in China. these literary features not only have vertical associations with Chinese traditional literary concepts, but also they have mutual verifications with the modern Chinese society's development, furthermore, they have potential lateral correlations with western detective stories. The issue about national characteristics has not been concerned more. This paper chooses some Chinese modern detective writers who are successful in writing unique stories. For example: Cheng Xiaoqing's < huo-sang's detective stories>; Sun Liaohong's ; and Zhao Shaokuang's .the national characteristics in this paper mainly mean Chinese styles in writing which are different from the western styles.These are some common grounds which formed with the development of Chinese detective stories. Because of the effect from Chinese traditional novels, Chinese modern detective novels adjust itself and appear some valuable national characteristics. The national characteristics are the hope of Chinese detective stories. After all, Chinese detective stories reflect Chinese society, and be read by citizens. This paper tries to summarize national characteristics of Chinese detective stories and deliberate the ways to draw lessons from western literature.This paper has three chapters besides the foreword.Chapter one: To discuss the times and region environment of Chinese detective stories. This part mainly choose Cheng Xiaoqing's works as an example, the combination of science and about democracy, freedom and equality of the historical background, on the healthy development of detective fiction to the external factors. Through text analysis, summed up a remarkable detective story of national characteristics, such as advice and warned that it carries in our education system and the effectiveness of broadsheets such as the critical problems. The function of these complex and intertwined a Western detective stories do not have. Their heritage is not only the traditional concept of the impact of literature results, it is gradually emerging in the legal sense of the early years of the Republic, detective fiction has the characteristics of the times.Chapter two: The main analysis of China's modern detective novels and attempt to make a breakthrough. Specific study of their traditional way of drawing on narrative, narrative about the modern Western way of imitation and adaptation, for the detective stories of prosperity in China at the psychological study of the readers.Chapter three: Focuses on the detective stories of modern Chinese traditional chivalrous novels the relationship between the legal case. Detective stories related to the content of the novel and the legal case, the contrast in form, to show the similarities and differences between them, both to find the relationship between the transmission and summed up the characteristics of the times.
