Comments On Plekhanov's Contribution To Marxist Materialist Conception Of History

Plekhanov is a controversial theorist in the history of Marxist philosophy. Experts on Marxism home and abroad have a low opinion of him because of his standpoint on Menshevik in his last years in life. It is absolutely unfair to underestimate or despise his contribution to Philosophy. It is significant to do a research on the theory of this great ideologist in the history of the Marxist philosophy at the 153th anniversary of Plekhanov's birth.This thesis analyses Plekhanov's philosophical works from the perspective of materialist conception of history. Based on reading and analysis of the achievements in this field home and abroad, the thesis researches on the contribution he made for Marx's founding of the Materialist conception of history. It serves as basis for more comprehensive and research on Plekhanov's philosophical theory, and provides theoretical and scientific support for China's modernization today.
