Carries on the reform to the parliamentary system is the important content that the Britain political system develops and consummate unceasingly, after the 19th century's three parliamentary reform, the House of Lords and their key members hereditary aristocrats of land subject to certain weakening , the voting right obtained further expansion. because of the uncompleted reform, the conservative attitude of House of Lords was still a major obstacle to pass the Common's bills, the women in general still didn't get the voting right.First half of the 20th century's British Parliament Reform realized under many kinds of factor. The political party struggle in two-party system was the most important driving force; the unwritten constitution provide a relaxed political environment for the reform; economic development, social production level's increase, so that cause the citizen to participate in political; increase the level of universal education and enhance the teaching level, has cultivated the sense of democracy among citizens, and raised the ability that engage in the democracy life; the war is a catalyst for the reform of the electoral system.Entered the 20th century, the key contents which British Parliament Reform is to adjust the relations between the House of Lords and the House of Commons, to reform the unreasonable phenomenon of electoral system, to entrust with the women in general voting right, achieve universal suffrage, to abolish the plural vote. Carries on limit the power of Britain's hereditary aristocracy and the House of Lords is one of the main elements of British parliament struggles. First half of 20th century, the 1911 Parliament Act and the 1949 Parliament Act were passed, the power of House of Lords was restricted and weakened further, the authority status and influence were greatly reduced, but further strengthened on behalf of the elected by people will's House of Commons, the public opinion achieved a victory.
