A Deduction On The Economy Of Upriver Liaohe Region From The Neolithic Age To The Bronze Age

This paper is a part of an important item of social science fund of Liaoning province whose title is'Prehistoric Archeological and civilization origin research on the upriver Liaohe region'(No.L06AZS001). The primary research focuses on the economy environment. Archeological research has developed fruitfully about the upriver Liaohe region from the Neolithic Age to the Bronze Age since 1980s'. Experts published and emitted their own viewpoints in succession. They has made further research and obtained some achievements on the upriver Liaohe region's archeological culture. Although a large number of conclusions have been gained with economy aspect research, the systemic and all-around research monograph appears seldom about economy life. In order to summarize the scholar's research conclusions generally and classifiably, and to offer more material to lucubrate, this paper will concentrate on Xinglongwa Culture, Zhaobaogou Culture, Hongshan Culture and lower Xiajiadian Culture as primary objects, and sum up some main sites'relics on economy life. Furthermore, the article will make further research on agriculture, which is principal part of economy life from the Neolithic Age to the Bronze Age. That is to say, we will apply western archeology theory on the analysis of the origin of agriculture and reason of its up-and-down proportion in the upriver Liaohe region. Not does the origin of agriculture be caused by a factor, but by various factors which affect each other. The important factors which induce agriculture to come into being and develop include Environment, Population Tension, Central Village and Production Instrument. But these are the representative ones during numerous factors, Others will be researched in the future.
