The fast development of information technology is changing the environment that we live in and our way of learning. In recent years, blog, another communicating tool emerged, as we are familiar with the tools of MSN, QQ, BBS on internet. Because of the characteristics which are advanced than any other net media, lots of educators began to search how to apply blog to the teaching and learning in colleges. And the application and popularity of blog has offered a new tool and platform for reform in education and teaching.The role of blog of information filtering, integration, classification, description and the special knowledge management function can promote the cooperation and the common reflection of teachers and students. Therefore, the use of English blog can enhance the quality of teachers and improve teaching effectiveness. The application of new teaching model has improved the traditional mode of teaching and the ways of learning, and realized the combination of information technology and teaching process. In addition, it can promote the development of teacher's specialization and lifelong-learning, improve the student's learning autonomy, interest and migration of knowledge, and cultivate the ability of language application for students. Moreover, how to promote the interaction and communication among school, teachers, and students is also discussed.In this paper, we try to induct the ides and technology of blog to the English communication after class in higher vocational colleges, explain the necessity of applying blog to English teaching through the introduction of the origin, concept, basic form characteristics, emphasize how to communicate with the students with blog after English class, and analyze the advanced effect of application to students and teachers. In this foundation, we think over some problems of blog application in English communication after class, and discuss how to solve the problems efficiently. It is helpful for the students, teachers in higher vocational colleges and also has its active effect about the improvement of the education measures. It is significantly for the college innovation of teaching.
