Numerous famous librettists lived in the early stage of Qing Dynasty, and creating various schools of ancient lyrics. The works of ZHOU ZaiJun, however, were independent from mainstream of schools, occupying important position in the circle at that period. His work expresses the reminiscent mood that the first generation of HAN people born in Qing Dynasty deep yearned Ming Dynasty. For this generation, it was not important whether they were born in Ming Dynasty, but the important issue is the identification with Ming Dynasty. This aspect of thoughts can also be applicable for the entire related Qing literature. The lyrics thoughts of ZHOU ZaiJun deeply connected with the lyrics philosophy of early Qing Dynasty, and he respected JIAXUAN XIN, and focused on the true emotion. Changes of his family and the difficulties he met in his official career made his lyrics having great tension between connotation and intensification. The lyrics activity that was organized by him,"Qiushui Xuan Singing & Hamony", deep influenced the history of ancient lyrics. His argument with ZHUO Hui when they edited"CI HUI"has great significance in ancient lyrics. In sum, as the witness and participator of the changing period of lyrics in early Qing Dynasty, ZHOU ZaiJun had non-ignorable position in and influence on Qing literature. But unfortunately, no one has researched his lyrics until today. Through the research of his family and friends, his activities and his works, this paper will summarize his thoughts of lyrics, identify the reminiscent mood and the unique arts achievement of ZHOU's lyrics, and clarify his position and influence in early QING literature of lyricsThis paper includes five parts,I. Summarizing current available literature to introduce ZHOU's family and his life, especially introducing his family history and his father, and analyzing how his life influenced his work of lyrics;II. Analyzing the thoughts of ZHOU's lyrics. Categorizing his lyrics and mainly analyzing lyrics chanting history, clarifying the reminiscent mood in his work. Researching on"Yuefu Buti", and clarifying the patriotism in the lyrics chanting objectives;III. Analyzing the art characteristics of ZHOU's lyrics. Firstly analyzing the tension of emotion in his work"Manjianghong– Dongyuan"; secondly analyzing his expression of thoughts of history in the lyrics of"Lanlinwang– Caishi Huaigu"; finally analyzing the nature of heroism in his works;IV. Summarizing the genealogy and philosophy of ZHOU's lyrics;V.
