To enter the civilization highly developed twenty-first century, human survive at a fast-paced life, enjoying the developed industrial civilization's results. However, when more and more intensive high-rise buildings stands, the increasingly high-tech daily necessities product, people began singing "Return to Innocence", "Return to nature" philosophy of life. Thus, in the interior design field, the original eco-materials, civil folk decorative design show legend by star-like appearing in the in the modern stage.Wooden space experiencing the evolution of several thousand years accompanied by the development of human civilization. but also In this process, they made a bond with each other. Therefore, when we living in a modern civilized society is met the wood for other space once again, the spirit of a strong resonance has happend. Wooden space cause a strong resonance with human who living in a modern civilized society. This was primarily due to the many features of wooden space not only soothe people who desire natural, healthy, and warmth, but also to satisfied the human's necessary of the sustainable development strategy because of resource shortages. Wooden space, it creates a humanistic care, return to nature and yet modern space.This paper is composed of three parts: the first part sorted out the development of early wooden space; the second part summarized the contemporary wooden space, combined with the two parts , the third part analyzed the future of wooden space. This study aims to provide some guidance for wooden space design, and lay a theoretical foundation for the development of the wooden space and consummate the use of timber at wooden space.
