Analysis Of The Nesting Phenomenon Of Causal Connectives

At present, the study on connectives in modern Chinese is comparatively weak or not systematic. The connectives are important syntactic and semantic tags in the complex sentence. The nesting of connectives can insert with each other directly show the nesting relationship and nesting capacity of complex sentence. In this paper, the writer choose the causal connectives as the target to analysis and discuss their nesting capabilitiesThe writer firstly defines the causal relationship and causal connectives, as well as general categories of causal connectives composition .Then, the causal connectives are divided into two parts: the inferential causal relation and the explanatory causal relation. What is more ,an analysis of some typical causal connectives' inserting to apply some of concern phenomena, including the causal connectives nest themselves, as well as the causal connectives nest other connectives. According the analysis, we want to find the specific differences of their nesting abilities. What is more, we want to find the reasons of differences of their nesting abilities through the logical relationship, Syntactic Features, semantic relationship , cognitive relationship, syllable relationship and so on. By doing this, we can make a systematic analysis and more comprehensive interpretation of the causal connectives ' nesting phenomenon.
