After Japan moved in a capitalist direction by Meiji Reform in the latter half of the 19th century, modern culture and ideology from europe became a new fashion in the academic circle, occidental culture and philosophy bacame common practice in the first empire university: University of Tokyo, it also brought up plenty of" bureaucratic administration scholars" in the area of China-Study in Japan, which stay at the forefront of a new trends in this field. Therefore, University of Tokyo became the headquarter of chinese bureaucratic study in Japan. In such kind of circumstance, a group of pure scholar that headed up by mamononaoki started the counterbalance with bureaucratic study in the newly built second empire universtiy-Kyoto university, insufflated a fresh air to the chinese study in Japan, which was used by japanese government. In a certain degree, it also held down those ulterior motives of the chinese study in Japan at that time. This paper uses viewpoints of cultural geography, cultural exchange and systematics for referance, implements the concept of "space" to analyse and study "Kyoto school" which gave a forceful blow in the area of chinese study in Japan. I would like to try my best to interpret the forming of"Kyoto school"from a completly new viewpoint at the basic of the former traditional study about "Kyoto school". With such kind of viewpoint, we will find out that Kyoto school has two obvious morphologic space, that is cultural geographical space with the feature of "geographical culture" and academic exchange space with a basic carrier of "personnel exchange". These 2 spaces are not only unique in their style but also have internal connecting link. This paper has firstly studied the formation of the space of culture geography in the academic school of Kyoto. The outside part of this space is the region of Kyoto, and the inner layer of the space is the literal arts part of Kyoto University. In the region of Kyoto, the deep Chinese culture gene, the traditional regional culture and the academic traditions as well as the natural landscape which related with the culture atmosphere has a very important role in the outside part of the space. These factors provide the special space of culture geography for the formation of Kyoto University in this area; on the other hand, the formation of Kyoto University, especially the literal arts of Kyoto University create a centralized and converged inner space for the academic school of Kyoto which is convenient for the communication between these scholars. This free and open space has the factor that is convenient for the development of the theory and style as well as the mechanism in the academic school of Kyoto. The two layers of the space which reflected each other created jointly the existence of the academic school of Kyoto. Then the paper examines the space of academic exchange which formed the academic school of Kyoto. The representative figures in the academic school of Kyoto are mamononaoki, nayitoukounan as well as the Chinese scholars such as Guowei Wang, who has an important effect for the academic school of Kyoto. In this paper, the process, influence and interaction styles of the academic exchange between these scholars, as well as the interaction between the single figure of Guowei Wang and the whole academic school of Kyoto were emphasized. The interaction between Wang and mamononaoki, nayitoukounan is a typical and successful example in the modern academic exchange between Japan and China, which have resulted in the enrichment for the nature of interactive space in the academic exchange and also emphasized the academic style of the academic school of Kyoto. Wang have given an important effect in the study method, study area and study objects for the development of the academic school of Kyoto, and make the space of academic exchange in the academic school of Kyoto more wonderful. These two spaces have autogenetic systems as well as internal relations. The overlapping and conglomerating of these two spaces is originated from the common admiration for Chinese culture, the pursuance of real Chinese Studies(Sinology),the intersection of same academic fields, and the communion of academic style and value.
