Since the new century, Chinese literature formulates the"New Century Literature"which has the characteristic of the era. New Century Literature accepts the new literature which also includes 80's Literature except the mainstream literature with more forbearing posture. 80's Literature is a group of young people who narrate their own youth experience in the beginning of the new century. It passes from marketable speculation to being accepted by the literary mainstream, from the flourish in 2004 to the depression after 2006. It's a unique phenomenon in the history of Chinese literature. This thesis's purpose is to interpret the concept of the 80's Generation in the New Century Literature via the discussion of the era background of 80's Literature, growing experience, cultural identification, the main characteristic, etc.There are four parts in this thesis.Part one, mainly discusses the procedure naming and the concept understanding of 80's literature of people. Explaining the literature of 80's Generation is a literary phenomenon in the beginning of the 21st century. It is a particular literary works which is composed by a group of special men at the unique era background.Part two, explains how the special era background, which produces 80's Literature, affects the literature of 80's Generation. It contains market economy, public culture and net culture.Part three, demonstrates the particular 80's Generation. It consists of the particular growing experience as the only child in the family, youth subculture and exploring by the New Concept composition.Part four, interprets the particular literary characteristic of 80's Generation. It involves the narration of youth, the writing of temperament and the distinctive genius.
