The relationships between human and nature are described as an important part of classical Chinese literature. The harmonious relationship between Chinese and nature expressed in the literature is not only identified by the Chinese nation, but also contributed to the world literature. Therefore, researches on landscape literature and Chinese views on nature reflected from these literature pieces is either an important field of domestic Chinese study or a hotspot of international Chinese studies.This thesis consists of three chapters and mainly focuses on three sinologists: Obi Koichi from Japanese, Wolfgang Kubin from Germany and Donald Holzman from France. Chapter one gives a general view of how sinologists paraphrase the special Chinese term "nature". Nature has multi-meanings in Chinese culture, and sinologists give many good tries on how to paraphrase it. Chapter two concentrates on the views on nature in and before middle Ages of ancient China. Several sinologists tend to picks up "sadness of autumn" as a case study on Views on Nature which reflects their great attention to "the awareness of human-beings." Chapter Three analyses the definitions, the reasons and important meanings about the raising of landscape poetry which mainly represents the ancient Chinese views on nature.
