The Study On The Liushu Theory Of Shuowenshili Of Wangyun

Shuowenshili six characters is a second research on Interpretation of Chinese Characters. It shows WangYun's knowledge through the analysis of character form. Combining ancestors' LiuShu Theory, WanYun put forward some new opinions of LiuShu in Interpretation of Chinese Characters. Based on the tenet-return the original look to XuShu, the exposition about ShuoWenShiLi six characters was put forward during the movement of rectifying XuShen, XuKai and DuanYucai. It's also expounded connotation of XuShu. But it was WangYun's personal viewpoint that was the flash point in ShuoWenShiLi six characters. According to LiuShu, WangYun used realistic approach to reclassify words, explored the characters' belonging and original meaning, and he has incisive views about character's structure and the rationality of meanings.ShuoWenshili is a pure character works. It mainly analyzes character forms, but also analyzes sounds and meanings. In the book LiuShu Pandect, WangYun listed his opinions about LiuShu Theory one by one. It permeates his objective evaluation for the breeding and development of characters. LiuShu Theory has a far-reaching influence in the book. It states the six characters of Interpretation of Chinese Characters and realized the existence of xiangjian phenomenon. It shows WangYun's jianshu theory in the variation analysis of each character type. WangYun explained each of the character types carefully, and his linguistic viewpoint was mostly in the example analysis.This thesis made systematic arrangement and study on ShuoWenShiLi liushu theory. It shows WangYun's linguistic viewpoint tracing to its source and combine reality to demonstrate the advanced thought of philology. This article mainly analyses WangYun's liushu theory in the seven ways of self-explanatory, pictograph, pictophonetic, associative compounds, mutually explanatory, phonetic loan and jianshu, and it also evaluates the gain and loss of ShuoWenShiLi liushu Theory combining Interpretation of Chinese Characters. The achievement of ShuoWenShiLi liushu Theory was given full affirmation while the shortages of ShuoWenShiLi liushu were also pointed out. In a word, ShuoWenShiLi is a symbol works in the fields of shuowen literature and linguistics.
