The Study On The Liushubenyi(六书本义)

Zhao Huiqian's Liushubenyi(六书本义)is the first works of the Ming dynasty.It has gathered one thousand three hundred characters that had been arranged ten books of three hundred and sixty parts.The intention of Liushubenyi(六书本义)was telling people how to use the character to read the classics.In this works.Zhao Huiqian explained his Liushu(六书)(six categories of character's building)theory and bring forwarded his new opinion basiced on which can analyzed the Chinese characters.Basiced on the things which each character expressioned,Zhao Huiqian arranged the characers of ten books,and basiced on each character's subjection,he arranged the characers of three hundred and sixty parts.The ways of arranging characters which Zhao Huiqian started impacted the unborn dictiodary.Liushubenyi(六书本义)is the works of the character study based on Liushu(六书)theory and the character's practical using.In each category,there are systemic rules and examples.So the theory of Liushu(六书)category came into being.This is the first systemic research on the Liushu (六书)theory in the character in the character study history.But in the academia of Chinese character study's history,Liushubenyi(六书本义)was ignored and valued improperly.We haven't study the stylistic rules and layout of Liushubenyi(六书本义)and his Liushu(六书)theory and the explanation of the character.This paper tries to explain Liushubenyi(六书本义)roundly,and reevaluate Zhao Huiqian and his Liushu(六书)theory.This paper examines the style characters.According to the features of the style character,it classifies 1300 charaters which explained the characters' meaning in Liushubenyi(六书本义).It arranges and concludes the Liushu(六书)theory in Liushubenyi(六书本义)which comes down to Zhao Huiqian's views at nine aspects,such as relationship between the words and characters,pictograph,indicative character,the associative character,the morpheme-phonetic character,the mutually explanatory Chinese character,the borrows and the syllepsis,The paper confirms Liushubenyi's(六书本义)value in Chinese character study history and points out its lacks on materials,argumentations and style characters.
