Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoyevsky is one of the valuable giant of late 19th century Russian literature. His works are famous for the deep and philosophical thought of his heroes and display man's profound and exact inner world.His novels display his profound thought and represent his literal styles better, among other things. This thesis focus on Dostoyevsky's thought, connotation of the"thinker"identity of heroes.There are totally five parts in this thesis:I. Introduction– this part briefly state the influence of Dostoyevsky's complicated and profound thought upon his heroes of his works.II. The connotation, background and statue of the"thinker", together with a statement of current situation of the thinker based on persona life experience and style of Dostoyevsky will be covered in this part.III. This part deals with the specific classification of"thinker"and explains the different types of thinker in his novels from the religion, philosophy and moral aspects.IV. The characteristics of personality and aesthetics in his novels are the main point in this part. Personality will be expressed from the selflessness, fantasy and adventurousness aspects. And aesthetics will be told through the thinkers'tragedy.V conclusion: discuss the meanings and belongings of Dostoyevsky's thought and pave the way for future studies.
