Abstract/Summary:
With the social development and the emergence of the concept of people's diversity, people needs not only to the extent of the higher and higher materials, but also more attention to their own inner emotional experience and feeling than ever before. Changes in the concept of marriage in society have led to the emergence in a considerable number of divorced families. Thus, various psychological problems have emerged in many children of divorced families, affecting their healthy development. Many scholars at home and abroad have studied the mental health of these children in the divorced families, but they haven't come to the same conclusions. Therefore, in order to understand the mental health problems of the secondary-vocational-school students in the divorced families, their mental health conditions have been conducted through a questionnaire survey and the influential factors have been further studied.So practical measures and recommendations are made for the the healthy development of the students in the divorced families.Purpose: to understand various psychological states emerged in the secondary-vocational-school students in the divorced families,analyse the causes of the psychological problems of the secondary-vocational-school students in the divorced families, study the psychological instructing measures made for the secondary-vocational-school students in the divorced families,and improve the level of the psychological health of the secondary vocational-school students in the divorced families .Object and Method: The students are studied in the following five secondary vocational schools as a random sample of Anshan City in Liaoning Province, which are Anshan Medical School, No.1 Secondary Vocational School,Vocational School of Tourism, Electrical and Mechanical Industrial School, Radio and Television School.Divorced-family students' groups are formed from the first and second grade, and the complete-family students of the same sex were randomly selected in the same class to compare with the divorced- family students, (according to the principle of 1:2) as a complete -family students' group.There are 1290 subjects effectively studied, of whom 430 are a divorced -family group (male 205, female 225) and 860 a complete group (male 410, female 450).Through the use of a questionnaire survey method, the main research tools are: the general state of the questionnaire; Self-evaluation of SCL-90 SCL; Life Events Scale for adolescents; parental rearing-style questionnaire; parent-child relations questionnaire.25% subjects reviewed after one week, multiple correlation coefficient is 0.84.Statistical analysis software SPSS13.0 is applied.Results:1.Children's overall mental health compared between divorced families and complete families: SCL-90 assessment of the results, the factor scores of divorced families are higher than complete families, and significant differences exist between the two groups.The factor score (greater than 3)of divorced family childrenis higher than those in complete families.Apparent differences in hostility,depression and force exist distinctly in these two groups.The influential factors from the teenager events in divorced -family children are more than those in complete families. Most of all, the divorced-family children feel great pressure in their study, get more punished, less love and understanding, and soon.Evaluation of the results of parental rearing patterns,the understanding score (FF1, MF1) in emotional warmth of divorced -family children is distinctly lower than those of the complete-family. The punishment score (FF2, MF4) in divorced family is significantly greater (P<0.01) than that in complete families. The scores of the scales (3 in fathers, 3 in mothers, 2 in mothers, 1in fathers, 6 in fathers) are significantly lower than that in the complete families, and the scores of the scales (4 in mothers, 4 in fathers, 5 in fathers, 5 in mothers) higher than that in the complete families .Assessment of parent-child relationship results, the mental depression from the parents in divorced-family children is clearly seen higher than that in complete families, but the divorced -family children intend to be more independent. The role of his father's example in divorced-family children is relatively weak, but the impact on their children from his father's outlook on life and ways of thinking is above their mothers. Complete-family children can receive more love from their parents.2. The psychological health factors affecting divorced-family children: parental rearing patterns, economic situation and the child's gender are the key factors affecting divorced-family children.The patterns of democratics brings the most advantage to the divorced-family children. The rest are the most harmful to the psychological health of the divorced-family children, which are the patterns of strictness, negligence and spoiling. There are significant different level of factors between the low-salary and the high salaryfamiliesinfinance.Therearemore psychological health problems in the students from low-salary families than those from high-salary families . As for gender, boys have more psychological health problems of frustration and depression than girls,and girls have more psychological dreadfulness than boys.Conclusions:1. There are significant differences in psychological healthy conditions between the secondary-vocational-school students in the divorced families and those in the complete families.2. The important factors influencing psychological healthy conditions of the children in the divorced families are the child's gender, parental rearing patterns, parent-child relationship, the economic situation.3. Model of the Trinity, such as families, schools and society can be formed in order to optimize the survival and development environment in the divorced- family children, to improve their adaptability and promote the healthy development of their body and mind.
