In order to probe into the developing features of the secondary vocational school students’ psychological capital, the relation between the secondary vocational school students’ psychological capital and mental health, 2595 secondary vocational school students from 10 schools as subjects are investigated by two questionnaires. That is, “Positive Psycap Questionnaire(PPQ)” and “Middle School Students Mental Health Scale(MSSMSH)”. Drawn up the group counseling activities of psychological capital and carry out an experimental group intervention to psychological capital for the secondary vocational school students in this research. By investigating and analyzing the outcome of the research, the results are as follows:1) The mental health level of the secondary vocational school students is good. 31.5% of the students have mild mental health problems, 9.2%of the students have moderate mental health problem and 0.7% of the students have more serious problems.2) Comparing with female student, male student have higher level in mental health. The mental health level of the secondary vocational school students is gradually increasing with the increase of the grade. At the same time, professional category, living expenses and academic achievement have significant influence on Vocational Students’ mental health.3) On the whole, the level of the secondary vocational school students’ psychological capital is high. Gender and family location have significant influence on vocational school students’ self-efficacy. Students in different grades are significantly different in self efficacy, hope and optimism. And the level of psychological capital is the highest in grade three. Professional category, living expenses and academic achievement have significant influence on the psychological capital of vocational school students.4) There is significant correlation between mental health and psychological capital of Vocational School Students. Self-efficacy and optimism has negative predictive effect on mental health, while hope is able to positively predict mental health.5) The group counseling obviously promotes the secondary vocational school students’ psychological capital improvement.
