Both Dream of the Red Chamber and Flowers in the Mirror have each received philosophical and artistic acclaim in China as well-known novels and classical long stories in the middle period of Qing-Dynasty. Numerous images of talented Ladies are modeled and obvious talented Ladies'consciousness can be found in the two ancient Chinese classics. The basic meaning of talented Ladies'consciousness is the affirmation of talented Ladies'reading and the appreciation of talented Ladies'eruditeness. Then, in the aspect of portraying the image of talented Ladies, did the Dream of the Red Chamber have any creative influence upon the writing of Flowers in the Mirror? If so ,then what influence? Which respect did Flowers in the Mirror take reference from Dream of the Red Chamber that was known as the most famous classical novel? What is the innovation?This paper is mainly divided into four sections to issue :The first section analyzes the distribution of Dream of the Red Chamber, background of Li Ruzhen's family and reading habits of the time, the author believes there is a strong possibility that Flowers in the Mirror took reference from Dream of the Red Chamber during its creation.The second section approaches the three aspects of talented Ladies:talent, wisdom (scholarship)and active scenes which Flowers in the Mirror referred to Dream of the Red Chamber. The author think that talented Ladies in Flowers in the Mirror have a wider extension on their knowledge. They also participated imperial civil service examination, attended some politics, and joined in broader social activities from inner chamber gardens to the social governments.The third section proves the reference and innovation on three aspects of talented Ladies:status, circumstances and final destiny which existed between in Flowers in the Mirror and Dream of the Red Chamber. These two works both proscribed ultimate final of talented Ladies'and attributed them to"nihility". In comparison to Dream of the Red Chamber, talented Ladies in Flowers in the Mirror, Li Ruzhen entrusted with them different status and circumstances. The fourth section addresses the reference and innovation of Flowers in the Mirror on the narrative technique to Dream of the Red Chamber. Both of the two books launched talented Ladies-story with the myth-fable's structure and used the botanical garden pattern to describe the talented Ladies'activities. There is a place named"DaGuan Garden"which regarded as the girl-country's foundation in Dream of the Red Chamber. While Flowers in the Mirror not only has the refined exquisite private botanical garden named"Wanfang Garden", but also presented an aboard country of women in which men and women played out-of-character roles; Moreover, two books have both used the metaphor symbol technique to dress up talented Ladies with multi-colored flowers, respectively.In a word, this paper think that the idea and artistry of Flowers in the Mirror received reference from Dream of the Red Chamber .As the best Chinese classical novel which was located in the most radiant pearl refraction ,its impact on Flowers in the Mirror was unique and important ,and its weight has perhaps been underestimated. Simultaneity ,we can see that at the time of the transitioning and changing of China's feudalistic system ,Li Ruzhen's judgment of transitions and reality ,was unique in providing his solutions about the final destiny of talented Ladies and their outlet ways .As a result of his advanced ideas ,tragic consciousness and deeply purpose ,the characters of talented Ladies in Flowers in the Mirror both inherited the achievements of Dream of the Red Chamber and made great progress surmounted ultimately. In this sense, Flowers in the Mirror is an unique novel in the Chinese literature works. Therefore, in the Chinese history of literature, Flowers in the Mirror should increase layered weights again.
