A dream of red mansions is an outstanding representative of ancient Chinese novels about the world,which involves a large number of opera descriptions.This paper takes the hundred and twenty hui Ben as the research object,and the gengchen Ben as the base.At the same time,by referring to many fat Ben and cheng Ben,it makes an in-depth study of the opera description in the works in combination with the history of drama in the Ming and qing dynasties.This paper first identifies the 34 plays quoted in a dream of red mansions,analyzes their types,contents,existing versions and performances in the Ming and qing dynasties in combination with historical materials of traditional Chinese operas,and then deduces their performances according to the text of a dream of red mansions.These operas are also closely compatible with the content of the novels,mainly showing the theme of the works,predicting the end of the story,revealing the characters and promoting the development of the plot.In addition,a dream of red mansions also draws on the narrative art of opera.From the perspective of the text form,"a dream of red mansions" mainly makes use of the mode of "drama within drama","wedge" system and "vice end opening" system.From the perspective of the performance form of the drama stage,dream of the red chamber mainly draws lessons from the display of stage movements,the processing of stage space and time,the arrangement of the characters,as well as the adjustment of the gelling and the hot and cold scene,etc.,showing cao xueqin’s superb narrative art.In a dream of red mansions,jia fu’s acting also faithfully reflected the aristocratic acting customs during the kangqian period.There are four main aspects: first,kunqu opera and yiyangqiang drama were the most famous in the song altar in the reign of kangqian,and the performance of the nobility was especially kunqu opera.These operas are often performed in the form of folding operas.Second,the jia family’s acting occasions are mainly for annual festivals,birthdays,banquets and guests,etc.,with less acting in their spare time.Besides,they observe the law to forbid funeral and night plays.Third,jia fu play content will be related to decency,emphasizing loyalty to the king and filial piety,integrity for good,no lewdness,and when watching the play must be men and women have seats,the point of the play must respect the father.Fourth,for the convenience of entertainment,jia government officials and other official family to buy su ling,set up their own family troupe.
