Science and religion are tow kinds of cultural modes, by which human beings grasp the world. The complex interaction of them forms the important content of the development history of human beings' civilization. Meanwhile it is also an old but novel investigation theme in the philosophy field. From the point of philosophy of science and by the method of combination theoretic analysis and comprehensive comparison, this paper firstly concludes the relationship of science and religion in the view of western scientists and philosophers. Then it analyzes the 'through time relationship' of science and religion, and points out that both of them not only have the relation of same affinity, but have the relation of confliction, separation, association, harmonization, and syncretistic. They realize mutual action in this kind of mutually restriction, promoting, baring, harming and concretizing. Finally, it investigates 'the together time relationship' of science and religion, and hold that both sides interact by their own world prospect, thinking pattern and value criterion. The result of their interaction is to form the dominant culture value and concept. The mode and content of their interaction depend on the relationship that other cultural modes mutually restrict and pervade each other. Thus, both of them represent the similar structural model.
