The generation after 80s refers to the young writers who are active in the market of book selling as well as in contemporary literature field. Nowadays, this concept has been broadened to a cultural or literature phenomenon concerned by media and scholars. Literature of the generation after 80s refers to those literary works written by this young generation. These works include novel, poetry, prose, essay and so on, among which novel and prose are the main focus.This thesis consists of 6 parts. The first part introduces the literature created by the generation after 80s, including the origin of the generation after 80s, the development of the literature created by them. This part lays necessary foundation for the next parts. The second part summarizes the writing style-desolation of the literature created by the generation after 80s. This style is mainly reflected on the title, the language about anxiety and pains brought by growth.The third part analyzes the reasons why the desolation of the literature created by the generation after 80s shapes from 4 aspects. The first reason is that it has been deeply influenced by the times. It can be specified into 3 points: the invasion and infection of market economy, subtle influence exerted by western postmodernism and texts presented by feelings towards petty bourgeois. The second reason is that these young writers are anxious because of solitary. This can also be unfolded from 3 aspects: the background where they grow as the only child in the family, the general solitary existing in the growth of human beings, solitary of marginalized wanderers. The third reason is stated from the angle of peculiarities in adolescence, which is incarnated in the expression of anxiety and grief. The last is the presentation of temperament..Strong feelings of anxiety and grief are radiated in the literary works created by the generation after 80s. Different writers follow after varied styles, some implicit and euphemistic, some romantic and pursuing beauty, some poetic and concise. The fourth, fifth and sixth parts elaborate the varieties of the desolation style of three familiar young writers: Hanhan, Guo Jingming and Zhang Yueran. Han's language is rebelliousness and helpless, Guo's language sincere, while Zhang's bigoted but with great delicacy.
