The debates of Western Marxist Aesthetics are the hot spot in the new period. The attitude of the academic changes from the beginning of the Western Marxist Aesthetics is not Marxism to current points of certain value. This article is from the Western Marxist Aesthetics' concept to analysis the debate of the concept and other issues, then try to draw some inspiration and conclusions by the analysis of the debate.The first chapter is elaborates the concept that Western Marxist Aesthetics' introduction in the new period. The first section speaks the research condition of the Western Marxist Aesthetics' concept in the west; this part mainly narrates the study background of Western Marxist Aesthetics as well as the major point of the concept in the west. The second section is the introduction of Western Marxist Aesthetics' concept in the new period. The new era's introduction is divides into three stages approximately: First, form the late 70s to the mid-80s is the preliminary introduction and narration's time, this time was mainly carry on the introduction and the viewpoint is simple unavoidably, Second, the mid-80s to the late 80s is the new time's warm discussion and dispute time, this time's academic circle carry the intense argument on some hot topics; Third, form the 90s to the present is the translation time, the academic circle is mainly carry on translating Western Marxist Aesthetics' original works in this time.The second chapter is the debate of Western Marxist Aesthetics' question in the new period. The first section narrates Lucas and the debate of "History and Social Class Consciousness". The second section narrates the debate situation of Western Marxist Aesthetics' concept. The debate of concept has three kinds of positions approximately: firstly, some one who insisted that carries on the analysis from the theory's angle, secondly, some one who insist that theory with practice, thirdly, some one who insist the theory and actual unifies conducts the research and insisted from the philosophy. The third section narrates the debate relative to the Western Marxist Aesthetics' concept. One is Western Marxist Aesthetics' ideological trend nature localization question; the other is the relation of Western Marxist Aesthetics' philosophy and Marxist philosophy history.The third chapter is the enlightenment of the Western Marxist Aesthetics' debate. The first section is the need for defining Western Marxist Aesthetics' concept. The second section is the study of Western Marxist Aesthetics on the impact of literature and art in the new period, one is Western Marxist Aesthetics' subject building, the other is the relationship between Western Marxist Aesthetics and domestic art's turn in the new period. The third section is the significance from Western Marxist Aesthetics' research. On the one hand appraises Western Marxist Aesthetics' value, on the other hand, correct treatment Western Marxist Aesthetics' limitation, points out the principle which finally the research Western Marxist Aesthetics should insist on.
