Dizi, being one of the five great instruments of the China, is held in high regards in the Chinese Music scene and the art of Dizi should be brought to an international audience. The propaganda and influence of the Dizi in Singapore is the main topic being discussed in this paper. The Dizi will be explored through its repertoire; performance techniques, and also its integration with other art forms. It will also be approached from a historical angle on the way of propagation and also the achievements by Singaporeans. The Dizi, being an instrument with a long history amongst the Chinese culture is currently thriving in Singapore. Its history in Singapore, its present circumstance, and more importantly, its future will be explored in this paper.
