Discussion On Minority Culture From The Viewpoint Of Harmonious Culture

Building a harmonious society is a systematic project, it has a basic and guiding significance in the cultural construction. It can regulate social relations effectively, resolve contradictions and create a harmonioussocial order. General Secretary Hu Jintao has put forward the strategic thinking of harmonious culture construction. Seeing from the value orientation of advocating and pursuit of harmony, the meaning of harmonious culture is to make ideas, concepts, beliefs, value systems, ways of thinking, behavior, social habits and system into a whole culture patterns. It includes being diversified, compatible symbiotic, coordinated, orderly, full of vitality and general public to share and so on.I believe that a harmonious culture is not only limited here. From the reality of multi-ethnic conditions of our country, harmonious culture should also include: the mutual understanding, appreciation, maintenance and expression of unique character or culture between China's 56 ethnic groups. It also includes understanding, respect, appreciation, combination of the advantages and characteristics of other ethnic culture so that social groups and members of society can do their best, and live together in harmony. Here it especially emphasizes the national character of the culture, diversity, the connotation and extension of the expansion of harmonious culture.Based on the results of previous studies and the combination of analysis, the paper includes three parts:The first part, from both ancient and modern definition of culture, it states that culture and nation can not be separated. From the significance of today's construction of a harmonious culture, it is also elaborated that the prosperity of ethnic minority is an essential requirement for the construction of a harmonious culture.The second part focuses on the present states of a minority culture. Under the condition of the remarkable achievements and problems, it also elaborates social backgrounds of constraints on the prosperity of minority culture.The third part, harmonious development of culture is not to replace one system with multiple ones, but to make multi-culture to learn from and promote each other in the development of the common prosperity. Therefore, faced with minority cultural difficulties, a variety of measures and ways should be put forward to promote the development and prosperity of the minority culture and the harmonious development of the Chinese culture.
