This article contains two main chapters, preface and conclusion altogether in four chapters. The brief outline of the content as follow:Preface: Briefly introduced Chinese and Tibetan's history and culture's origins, and the history of Chinese and Tibetan's translation activity. From the angle of trans-culture, I elaborate translation's essence and the relationship between languages and cultures. Finally to emphasize the cultural vacancy phenomenon's research is an extremely important link for cultural exchange.Chapter 1: Non-correspondences obviously exist between different cultures. Cultural vacancy phenomenon has profoundly understood and displayed prominently by the people only through mutual hit and compares between two cultures. Therefore, Chinese and Tibetan literature translation's cultural vacancy has the value for studying. I attempt to define the cultural vacancy as: a nationality's language,rhetoric objects and phenomenon are can not find its correspondence or the close expression in another language. Thus, it has formed in the translation cultural vacancy phenomenon. Expound and understand the concept of cultural vacancy has to utilize the culturology, translatology and linguistic theory, and to elaborate Chinese and Tibetan's language expression forms, the sentence patterns and also the cultural characteristics for the historical progress, as well as under formed by the traditional cultural background's geography, history, customs, faith, language etc.Chapter 2: Translation strides over cultures as language and cultural exchange, the content of the translation is not a language sign itself, but the factors of the language. Accurately exchange and translate the cultural vacancy phenomenon in the Chinese and Tibetan literature translation can exchange,absorb and enhance, as well as the value and the role for development are inestimable. In order to eliminates the translation barriers bring by the cultural vacancy, and appropriately engage the cultural connotations, combining with my own understanding of dissimilation method and normalization method for translation research, and the typical examples from Chinese and Tibetan translations, unifies my self's obtained knowledge for translation theory and practice, elaborate dissimilation method and normalization method's merits and demerits, also abundant proof for cultural vacancy's translatability.Conclusion: Due to the Chinese and Tibetan translation's vacancy phenomenon, Chinese and Tibetanliterature translators must familiar with these two languages, and also have deep understanding of Chinese and Tibetan's history and culture, which will efficiently engaged in the work of Chinese and Tibetan literature translation.
