Enlightened by some theories and methods of linguistic philosophy and hermeneutics, this thesis gives new interpretations to the concepts of figure system in the book of ZhuangZi,thus to reveal the unique feature of ZhuangZi's philosophy from a new approach. The introduction part consists of notions about methodological consideration and the issue of textual authenticity. The subtle relation between the speech and its real meaning in Zhuangzi's text, and ZhuangZi's own opinion on this relation must be fully considered in our reading and hermeneutics. In chapter one we try to clarify a new idea:There are nearly 300 figures in the book of ZhuangZi,but we can find three systems in these figures, each system stand for a kind of comprehension of "Tao",ZhuangZi use these three different systems to express his idea in a very original way.In chapter two we analyse these three system concrete and independent."Zhu Zi"system is on ZhuangZi's opinion of language, especially his skeptical attitude towards language. The important feature of ZhuangZi's skepticism is e attitude towards language. ZhuangZi doubts the ability of language to present the reality of things and to express exactly the "Tao",asserting that "Tao can never be spoken",and advocating "no speech".wisdom system is on ZhuangZi's opinion of history. ZhuangZi think that in ancient age ,"Tao" is integrated and perfect. But it is broken because people try to charge the world. So in supernatural system ZhuangZi tell us if we want to get the essence of "Tao",we should give up things outside our soul.In chapter three we give this idea:"Tao" as the essential "speech" means that it can never be apart from language. ZhuangZi who asserts that "Tao can never be spoken" has always been speaking about "Tao" in his book. And it is just this way of speech that leads ZhuangZi's philosophy into the realm of aesthetics and art.
