Philosophical Reflection On People-Oriented Theory

People-oriented theory is the basic idea of the scientific concept of development. This theory is also the value of Socialism with Chinese characteristics and the fundamental guiding of all our works. In view of the scientific concept of development proposed, people-oriented view has been given new meanings, so the understanding has various types, even existing misreading. This phenomenon is easy to cause the confusion on mind, then do harm to practice.To capture the times sensitively, to hold the pulse of the times, to adhere to the basic view of Marxism, to reflection from the hight of philosophy to correct the errors, are of great importance. Using People-oriented view to guide the development of China's economy and society is of great practical importance.This paper is composed by four parts.In the first part, it does the elaboration on the concept of people. Marx's philosophy regards that people are realistic and social, human nature is formed from social relationship. Practical activities are the manifestation of the power of human nature , which is freedom. The realization of human freedom, the all-round development and social history of the development process are the same course.In Part II, the paper lists the people-oriented thinkings in the West and China before Marxism appeared. There is "people are the nation's treasure" thinking in the ancient Chinese. During Spring and Autumn Period, Qi Guan Zhong put forward the concept of people-oriented for the first time. Chinese traditional people-oriented view was handed down along this way. After the Opium War, Kang, Tan, Sun Yat-sen put forward the thinking of people in modern China. In the West, people-oriented thinking can be traced back to the period of ancient Greece. By the Middle Ages, against the God, the modern trend of thought rised. Today, against the object-oriented trend, the modern trend of Western thought emergenced.In part III, this paper does the reflection on people-oriented idea. Comparing people-oriented with people-based, it exposes the meanings of people-oriented view and the scientific nature. This paper reveals the connection of people-oriented and human-centered, and points out the errors of Anthropocentrism. Understanding the human nature correctly has great importance in our society.In part IV, this paper discusses the meaning of people-oriented theory in theorical and practical points. The people-oriented theory inherited and surpassed Marxist historical materialism. In terms of its practical significance, people-oriented theory comes with socialism with Chinese characteristics, and is helpful to the understanding of the concept of scientific development and realization of rights in economy, politic and culture.This paper takes on pairs of unity of investigations: the historical investigation and logic of analysis, subject and object, science and the value , analysis and synthesis of research methods. In the process of thesis writing, the above-mentioned study ways combine to use. And the above-mentioned methods are not unique. In the actual writing, it will base on the actual needs to adopt other research methods.
