Research Of The Polysyllabic Words In Chucizhangju

CHUCIZHANGJU which was written by Wang Yi in Dong Han Dynasty is a work annotating CHUCI.CHUCI is a poetry collection edited by Liu Xiang in Xi Han Dynasty including 25 works of Qu Yuan,2 works of Song Yu and others.Wang Yi tried to explain every word or sentence belongs to CHUCI and always use two-syllable vocabulary to annotate these monosyllabic words in CHUCI.There is an important law in the history of Chinese Linguistics.These works from the Warring States period,down to the Xi Han Dynasty,which are required for the language of the Dong Han Dynasty solutions,unified under the same significance.Accordingly,we can clearly see the development and changes in language.Therefore CHUCIZHANGJU will be significant to study Chinese language History.The main content of this article is the polysyllabic words in the study of language for Wang Yi,including t the former 16 Chapters which written by Wang Yi,as well as the JILT SI text.The papers divided into three parts:Introduction,polysyllabic word study,and the Exegesis.At first,we give a brief account of the general situation about Wang Yi and the content of CHUCIZHANGJU in the preface.Secondly we identified every two-syllable Character in CHUCIZHANGJU,and classified these words into seven categories.By analyzing the corpus,we have found 2400 polysyllabic words.There were many compound words.We divided these into three categories according to meaning:synonyms,categories of meaning,antisense.In the third parts of the thesis,we explained 44 words which were too difficult to comprehend the Wang Yi's work.The vast majority of these words were overlooked by HANYUDACIDIAN,and a number of them were explained wrong.The paper absorbed previous research results,and marked at all.The large-scale use of synonyms is a phenomenon worthy of attention in the same person,the same work.
