| China is unique to the Couplet as a traditional literary style .And the scenic spot Couplet all over the country is a valuable spiritual wealth. This thesis tries to discuss the couplets of Hengshan Mountain in China as an example to explain the artistic characteristics and the role of the scenic spot Couplet. The full text is divided into four chapters: Chapter I General explains the contents of Hengshan couplets, which are divided into two themes ,one is the main discussion on the Buddhism and Taoism, the other is the description of Hengshan Mountain's scenery ;chapter II shows the performance of the techniques and artistic effect of Hengshan couplets' art characteristics; Chapter III discusses the relationship between the Hengshan couplets and The hoof-shaped .Chapter IV briefly introduces the calligraphy of Hengshan couplets. After the text in Appendix there are some Hengshan couplets written by the contemporary authors and couplets of calligraphy works. As a study case, the research of Hengshan couplets' purpose is to rise the famous scholar's research and attention of the scenic spot Couplet's development and utilization.
