Analysis Of Mengchuangci Inheritan Ce And Innovation A Controversy For The Modernist Elements In His Poems

【This thesis mainly approaches Wu Wengying's ci poetry through his different class artistic style, and make a subject comment on the controversy of whether its has modernist element in his poetry. There are three chapters in this paper. The first chapter scrutinizes the origin of differences which bases on the research of the other experts, and try to advance my own opinion. Actually, it happens coincide some modernist elements in Wu's ci poetry but the technique of'time and space crisscross'appears previously. In fact, this technique is widely used in Chinese ancient poems not only adopted by Wu Wengying The perceptual rhetoric also can be traced back and found its source. The second chapter ,examine Wu's ci poetry in relations with or in comparison to a number of poets such as Wen Tingyun ,Li Shangyin , in order to prove the basis of Wu's ci poetry is on the traditional poetry. He is carries on the good traditions from other poets and innovate tradition technique of Chinese poetry. The third chapter is the key of the whole paper. This chapter offers a reading of ci poems with particular attention to the unique charms of ci poetry. Through analysis of Wu'wenying and Zhou Bangyans'ci poetry, this chapter illustrates Wu's ci poetry artistic style which is"consternated and profound'.However, its inappropriate to deny obscure language in his poetry. All in all, the charm of Wu's ci poem lies in his transformation of the'graceful and restrained'ci poetry. His different class artistic style is rooted in the life of tradition poetry and it should be admit he makes huge contribution to the development of ci poetry.】...
