| Purposes: to understand the current situation of adaptability and self-consistency and congruency for freshmen., to explore the situation of self-consistency and congruency of the impact of adaptability on college students and the role of size, for further study on the impact of college students adaptability to provide qualitative and quantitative factors that help colleges and universities school education to provide a certain theoretical basis, in order to improve adaptability of freshmen to provide some help.Methods: Using CSAI, SSCS to investigate 360 freshmen of four universities in Nanjing who have been in school about two and a half months.Results:1. In general, the adaptability of freshmen in Nanjing is good and is better than Wuhan and Changsha. There is significant difference in adaptability as a function of gender, college specialty, hometown, family year income, the one-child and no significant difference in adaptability as a function of live-in experience and singleton.2. The self-consistency and congruency of freshmen in Nanjing is better than norm. There is significant difference in self-consistency and congruency as a function gender, college specialty, Hometown and no significant difference in family year income, the one-child, live-in experience and singleton.3. One's adaptability is positively correlated with his self-consistency and congruency. Results show that disharmony of self and experience, self-flexibility and self-stiffness have significant linear impact on his adaptability. One's interpersonal adaptability, learning adaptability, somatic-mental symptom, environmental general evaluation and livelihood self-management adaptability have significant linear impact on his self-consistency and congruency.4. The private interviews indicate that one's self-consistency and congruency have direct effects on his adaptability.Conclusion: There is difference in adaptability and self-consistency and congruency for freshmen with different backgrounds. One's adaptability is positively correlated with his self-consistency and congruency. Therefore, we should use different education methods for different freshmen. The educators should guide freshmen to have right self-understanding, set positive Self-consciousness and strengthen the adaptability of freshmen. |
